Welcome to Air Pockets Adventures Flight School. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website www.iflyapa.comand our flight training services. By accessing our site or enrolling in our training programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
About Us
Air Pockets Adventures is an airplane flight school based at CFV2 Beiseker Airport, Southern Alberta, Canada. We provide professional pilot training for students pursuing aviation as a career, hobby flyers, and professionals seeking advanced flight training certifications. Our offerings include:
- Student Pilot Permit (SPP)
- Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
- Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)
- Night Rating, Multi-Engine, Instructor and Instrument Ratings
We follow Transport Canada-approved standards and examinations.
Eligibility
To enroll in our programs, you must:
- Meet the minimum age and medical fitness requirements as per Transport Canada
- Hold a valid medical certificate (Category 1, 3, or 4 as applicable)
- Comply with any additional prerequisites for specific licences or ratings

Medical Requirements
All students are responsible for obtaining the appropriate medical fitness certificate before beginning solo flight training. This must be completed through an approved Civil Aviation Medical Examiner (CAME) as per Transport Canada standards.
Ground School and Flight Training
Air Pockets Adventures offers in-class and online ground school options. Course schedules, lesson plans, and availability may vary and are subject to change. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any course at our discretion.
Payments and Refunds
- Tuition fees, flight hour costs, and exam charges must be paid as per the issued fee schedule.
- All fees are subject to change. Prior notice will be provided in the event of updates.
- Refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to administrative charges.
- No refunds will be provided for completed ground school modules or used flight hours.
Booking and Cancellations
Our website may contain links to third-party websites including online ground schools like Harv’s Air or The Hangaaar.com. We are not responsible for the privacy policies of these external sites.
- All flight training sessions must be booked in advance.
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.
- Flights may be rescheduled due to weather conditions, aircraft availability, or safety concerns.
Safety and Conduct
We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for unsafe conduct. Students must:
- Follow all instructions given by certified flight instructors (CFIs)
- Respect fellow students and staff
- Adhere to the Transport Canada aviation regulations
- Avoid substance use before or during training
Violation of these policies may lead to suspension or termination from the program.
Certifications and Exams
Students are responsible for completing:
- Transport Canada Knowledge Tests
- Radio Licence (ROC-A)
- Written exams and flight tests conducted by certified examiners, including our CFI, Jack Paquette
Successful completion of program components does not guarantee licensing; it is subject to regulatory performance and assessment.
Intellectual Property
All materials provided (including training manuals, videos, and website content) are the property of Air Pockets Adventures and may not be copied, distributed, or reproduced without permission.
Limitation of Liability
Air Pockets Adventures is not responsible for:
- Any loss, damage, or injury during training not caused by direct negligence
- Delays in scheduling due to weather, mechanical issues, or regulatory changes
- Personal equipment or belongings left on the premises
Students participate in training at their own risk and must have adequate insurance where required.
Website Use
Users agree not to misuse the website for unlawful purposes or violate any terms set forth herein. Unauthorized use or access attempts will be prosecuted.
Changes to Terms
Air Pockets Adventures reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
